Foresters’ Hall Pictures

“SUEZ” TO-DAY Produced with the magnitude possible only on the screen, ono of the most memorable pictures ever to como out of Hollywood, “Suez” commences to-day at 2 and 8 p.m. “Suez” is truly a great picture. In spectacle, emotional experience and sheer entertainment it is unsurpassed. It is said that into its production Darryl F. Zanuck has poured all his skill and 20th Century-Fox's resources —and “Suez” looks it. Tho story is of heroic proportions. It tells of the amazing Ferdinand dc Lesseps, who dreamed of creating the short route to tho East, sought vainly, by Columbus aud Magellan, by tearing continents apart and joining tho Mditerrauean with the Bed Sea. The great canal he built has become tho jugular vein of the world. Out of choking saud, from the clutch of tho raiding Bedouin, in the face of tho terrifying Sahara simoon—with blood, tears and passion —do Lesseps built his canal, driven by tho love of two women to realise the dream men scoffed at. Tyrone Power | gives thrilling realism to the central character, with Loretta Young and Annabella stirringly appealing in the feminino leads. J. Edward Bromberg, Joseph Schildkraut, Henry Stephenson, Sidney Blackmer and a host of others are included in tho stellar cast.
