Half-yearly Summoned Meeting
DRUIDS’ OFFICERS ELECTED P.D.P. Bro. F. Bidder presided over a good attendance of the Pahiatua Lodge No. 25 on Tuesday, November 21. Accounts amounting to over £2O were passed for payment. Clearance in favour of Bro. A. Hogg was accepted and a cordial welcome was accorded to him. A report of the recent meeting of the Friendly Societies' picnic committee was received and the lodge's donation for same was passed for payment. The Superintendent of the Juvenile Lodge (P.D.P. Bro. F. Bidder) gave his regular report and appealed for the closest co-operation of the senior lodge for the Christmas tree, which is a feature looked forward to with keen interest by the young people. Nomination of officers was then proceeded with and a cordial vote of thanks was accorded to the scrutineers, P.D.P. Bro. G. G. Taylor and Bro. V. Levy. Results were as follows:—A.D., Bro. B. C. Wolland; V.A., Bro. L. H. Leith; 1.G., Bro. T. Petersen; A.D.B.'s, »ms. E. Watson and Bro. C. J. Watson; \.A.8.8r0 A. Hogg and P.A. Bro. T. Moriarty; F.S., picnic committee delegates, P.D.P. Bro. F. Cosford and Bro. C. J. Watson.
Invitations are being forwarded to Buahine, Myrtle, Oroua and Terrace End Lodges for the installation of officers on December 5, and a full attendance is requested to welcome the 1.0., D.P. Bro. W. Oldham. Matters relating to the social arrangements were discussed at some length and hopes were expressed for a new idea being inaugurated in the lodge. The lodge was closed in the
usual manner after which supper was served and au interesting game of carpet bowls played.
