Mr. Iv. D. Pankhurst, of the Pahiatua Post Office staff, leaves on Monday for Huntcrvillc, where ho has been transferred.
Trooper J. B. Beech, of the Divisional Cavalry, Ngaruawahia, has been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Beech, Tiraumea Boad, Pahiatua. Friends of Mrs. G. Howse, who is an inmato of the Pahiatua Public Hospital, will be pleased to learn that she is making a speedy recovery. Mrs. H. Eouth, who was at one time in business in Pahiatua and has been living for several years in America, has gone to England to take part in war service.
Mr. S. W. Perry, of Auckland, is a guest at the Manse, Pahiatua, en route to take up his duties as student assistant to the minister of St. Paul's for Presbyterian Church work in the Pongaroa district.
