Obituary
MRS. H. E. PACEY News of the death of Mrs. Margaret Pacey, wife of Mr. H. E. Pacey, which occurred in Wellington on Sunday, will be received with sincere regret by her many friends in Palmerston North, Mr. and Mrs. Pacey having resided in this city* for many years. Mrs. Pacey suffered a serious accident two years ago and had sufferod indifferent health ever since.
While in Palmerston North the deceased lady was a prominent member or St. Paul's Methodist Church, taking a particular interest in tae work of the Women's Missionary Auxiliary of which she was Dominion president for two years. Sho was also president of St. Paul's Ladies' Guild and a member of the Willard Children's Home Board, and sho also did valuable work as the chairwoman of Girls' Flock House. Mrs. Pacey was interested in all organisations working for the good of the community, and was a woman of great ability and a fluent speaker. At St. Paul’s Church, on Sunday, Rev. C. Eaton referred to the passing of Mrs. Pacey, to whose gracious Christian character he paid a tribute. Mr. Eaton spoke of the long association of Mrs. Pacey with Church work and her keen interest iu missionary activity on a national scalo, and as a member of the Palmerston North Auxiliary. In addition to her husband, there are left to mourn their loss three sons, Mr. T. M. Pacey and Dr. Ken Pacey, both of Wellington, also Mr. Lloyd Pacey, of Pokokono, and two daughters, Mrs. L. Laurenson, of College Street, Palmerston North, and Miss Jean Pacey, of Wellington. The funeral takes place in Wellington this morning.
