Pahiatua Stock Sale
LOAN AND MERCANTILE REPORT A moderate entry of sheep was offered at tho Pahiatua stock sale on Tuesday. Values were on a par with previous quotations. Good quality ewes were in fair demand and sold up to 15s lOd. Lambs were showiug the effects of the dry weather and were only in fair demand. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports as follows: —Five-year ewes (age marked), r.w.S.D.r., 12s Cd, 14s, 15s lOd; 2-th. ewes r.w. Romney ram, 16s Cd; medium wether lambs, 8s 4d, 9s; medium ewe lambs, 12s 6d, 13s; cull ewo lambs, 5s Cd to 8s Cd; springing Jersey heifers, £5 lCs, £5 2s Cd, £1 10s; empty Jersey 2-yr. heifers, £2 14s; bulls to £5 lCs.
