Mr. Semple Challenged

CONSENT TO ISSUE OF WRIT FOR LIBEL Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Mrs. E. L. Stone has written to Hon. R. -Semplo regarding his attack in Parliament in which he said: “She is not fit to be at large. She waa too vile in character to be called a woman,” saying that she had been told she cannot bring a libel suit against au M.P. for anything said in Parliament. Sho challenges him to waive his Parliamentary privilege and consent to her issuing a libel suit. “I ask you to give me that opportunity and thus show the public that Parliament has not become a castle for cowards who will say under cover of privilege what they would not dare to say without that protection.”
