Washing-up Bill

NO CONTENTIOUS MATTER Per Press Association. WELINGTON, Last Night. The Reserves and other Lands Disposal Bill was introduced by GovernorGeneral’s message in the House of Representatives and read a first time, also a second time pro forma and referred to the Lands Committee. The leader of the Opposition, Hon. A. Hamilton, said apparently this Bill was the usual Washing-Up Bill. He asked the Prime Minister if there was anything of a contentious nature in the measure. The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, affirming that the Bill was the usual washing-up measure, added that at this stage of the session anything that was seriously objected to would go out.
