£IOO Damages for Injury to Right Hand
CASE OF HYSTERIA, SAYS JUDGE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. David Cameron, labourer, of Ngahauranga, was awarded £IOO by the Court of Arbitration to-day when he made a claim from the Wellington Meat Export Co., Ltd., for injury to his right hand received while stacking frozen beef into trucks through his hand being crushed against the side of a truck. Medical evidence conflicted as to the advisability of amputating the little finger. Mr. Justice O’Regan said the Court had decided it was a case of hysteria pure and simple. Commendable efforts had been made to settle the matter out , of Court.
