From Our Own Correspondent. Mrs Gyde, Senr., of New Plymouth, is a visit to her son, Mr F. Gyde. Miss F. Gyde and her brother. Master Reg. Gyde, are visiting their uncle in Wanganui. Mrs Osman, Senr., who has been on a visit to her son, Mr C. Osman, has left for Wanganui. Mr and Mrs R. Waghorn have been called to Wellington, as their sister, Mrs F. Waghorn (late of Tokomaru), Is seriously 111. Mrs G. Cali and her two infant sons, are on a visit to her mother. Mrs Free. Mr N. Kelly Is an inmate of a private hospital in Palmerston North. Mr T. Morgan left the district during last week for Raetihi.
Chi Saturdal last the Gospel Sunday •dhool picnic was held at the Horseshoe bend. Games. races and lollie •crambleo were indulged in by- all. and a most enjoyable day was spent, the weather being ideal.

Mileon Tonnls team played .a return match at Tokomaru during the weekend, Ml Ison being the victors bq 97 games to *2, and 11 sets to 9. There are quite a number of cases of jaundice among children in the district. The cases are reported as slight.
