Feilding Kitchen Tea

A kitchen tea was given by Mrs. W. Hooper at the Women’s Division rooms, Feilding, on Saturday evening last, in honour of Miss P. Marston, there being about forty guests present. Mrs, Hooper received the guests, wearing a gown of black velvet, while the guest of honour wore a black satin tunic suit.

Dancing and competitions were indulged in, the winner being Mrs. G. Walton, the Misses Raynor and Miss Fraser and partner. Miss Jean Fraser delighted with her tap-dancing, while Mr. N. Rosoman created much amusement with his many card tricks.

After supper, Mr. F. Fisher called upon Miss Marston to accept and open the many parcels from those present, with their very best wishes for her future happiness. Mr. N. Kiigour replied on Miss Marston’s behalf, after which she was accorded musical honours. The singing of “Auld Lang Syne” brought a happy evening to a close.
