At the wool sales 12,925 bales were offered uud 11,250 sold; also 1080 privately. There was good competition for free, well-grown wools prices for which were about on a par with last week’s closing levels. Tho market otherwise was par to 5 per cent, lower. Chief support came from Japan and Yorkshire. Greasy Alcrino sold to 29{ pence. The average price last week was £22 12s 7d a bale or 18.9 ponce a pound.
