The contractors engaged on the work of demolition of tho old Fitzherbcrt bridge are making steady progress, and to date have removed four spans from tho Fitzherbert avenue cud.
The Palmerston North City Council is to be urged by the Automobile Association (Manawatu) to undertake the planting of trees at the motor camp at the Esplanade in order to provide a quick shelter from winds.
The Automobile Association (Munawatu) was advised last evening that the booklet containing tho new traffic regulations which tho Alinister of Transport proposes to place in every home, should be issued during the current month.
