Miss Dugleby, of Hawke’s Bay, will be remaining in England for the Coronation. Mr. A. Young, Hastings, is visiting Wanganui. Miss J. Jenkins, Hastings, is a holiday visitor to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. A. 8. Sinclair, Napier, are visiting Rotorua. Mr. A. J. Sewell, Napier, is visiting Rotorua. Air. E. L. Cullen, M.P., left for Wellington by car on Sunday and is expected to return ut tho end of the week. Tho Hon. W. E. Barnard, At.P., •Speaker of the House of Representatives, left Napier yesterday for Wellington to attend a Labour Party caucus. Air. Barnard expects to remain in Wellington about a week. Mr. J. Scott, an employee of the Whakatu freezing works, who is shortly leaving for Sydney, was met by his fellow-employees and presented by them with a gold watch as a mark of the esteem iu which ho is held by them. He was also asked to accept on behalf of Mrs. Scott a handsome leather tra-velling-case. Air. Scott suitably returned thanks for the kindly sentiments expressed and for.the handsome presents which accompanied them. Sister Ennis, who resigned from her position on the nursing staff of tho Napier Public Hospital on February 8 in order to gain further nursing experience in Australia, was paid a tribute by the matron, Miss L. AI. Croft, iu her monthly report to the Hawke’s Bay Hospital Board. "It is with regret that I forward Sister Ennis' resignation," said the matron. "She joined the staff of the Napier Hospital as a staff nurse in July, 1932, was appointed a sister on January 3, 1934, and has been most conscientious and loyal in her duties." Aliss K. Golds and Aliss J'. Garvey, Napier, are visiting Wanganui. Mr. and Airs. E. G. Stevenson left Napier on Saturday for a fortnight’s motor tour. Mrs. A. E. Wrightson, of Napier, is on a fortnight's visit to her sister, Mr*. Pearson, ut Wellington. Air. and Airs. Lust and Air. and Mrs. Phil Schneideman, of Wellington, were week cud visitors to Napier. Aliss Eileen Cahill, of Napier, is following a brief visit to Palmerston North and Wellington with a fortnight spent touring the Nelson district. Aliss J. D. Power, New Plymouth, accompanied by Mr. J. Davies, Palmerston North, arc visiting Taupo. Air. and Mrs. Guy Rochfort and Miss Alix Rochfort, Duke street, Hasting*, are slaying at their Taupo cottage. Airs. G. tierrand, Palmerston North, arrived yesterday to spend a holiday with her mother, Mrs. J. Handels, St. Aubyn street, Hastings. She was accompanied by Miss Connie Symes, who has been her guest. AJ r. J. T. H. Bush, Tiki tiki, Gisborne, Is the guest of Airs. Setoh Wenley, Alaraekakttho. Air. and Mrs. Nicholson Miller and tho Misses Margaret and Roscmury Miller have returned to Havelock North after a short visit to Wellington where they farewelled Air. Nicholson Miller’s sister, Lady Young, who sailed by tho Awatea on her return to England. Mr*. Al. Grenside, Hastings, is visiting Waitara and is the guest of Mrs. A. Chadwick. Aliss Christina Mac Kay, daughter of Mrs. Norman AlacKay, Hastings, and late of Alaraekakaho, who recently passed the State maternity examination, is joining tho staff of the Cook Hospital, Gisborne. Airs. L. J. Furrie and Miss Rhea Furrie returned this week to Stratford from three weeks’ holiday iu Hawke’s Bay and Alarton.
