The completion of another scries in the Napier-Hastings senior cricket competition on Saturday afternoon saw two Napier elevens—Technical 0.8. and Napier H.S.O.B.—draw level in the top position on the champioaship ladder. United is next on the list, being four points behind. At Napier, where two of the three senior games were played, a heavy downpour of rain soaked the grounds early in the afternoon, but play was resumed, the highlight of the day being L. McCarthy’s (Hastings) excellent batting display. Ho made 83 beforo being clean-bowled by Hutchinson (Napier H. 5,0.8.). Technical 0.8. gained an innings victory against Hastings H. 5.0.8., while Napier Old Boys beat Hastings on the first innings by two runs. At Hastings, Rugby secured a first,--innings win over United by 32 runp, the scoring on the second day being in marked contrast to that of tho opening day. when wickets went very cheaply
