Territorials Break Camp

(Special to "Times.") WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. The Territorial forces of tho Ist Battalion, tho Wellington Regiment, broke camp on Saturday morning. The majority of tho force, about 120 in number, roturned to Wellington by the mail' train after marching down Racecourso road headod by the brass band. Several also returned by private car. There are now duly 14 men left in camp under Captain F. L. MacKenzie and the adjutant, Captain L. W. AnI drew, V.C., N.Z.S.C. They will leave hero to-morrow after having cleaned up l lie camp. WEEK-END SHOOTING. 'FRYER WINS PARSONS' TROPHY Tlvo final round for Air A. W. Parson’s’ trophy (two-shots at 500 and 600 yards) was fired off by the members *of the Waipukurau Defence Rifle Club on tho Alt. Vernon range on Saturday afternoon. Conditions for shooting were not of the best. A changing wind with intermittent showers of rain kejit tho riflemen busy.

BOWLING The following are the results of games played on tho Waipukurau Bowling Club’s greens in the week-end:— Moore Memorial: Burficld 17 v. Phillips 16, Townsend 20 v. Haycock 13, Bottehen 20 v. Skidmore 13. Club games: Jones, Chambers, .Burfield, Turner 22 v. Duckworth, Richards, Butler, Haldane, 16; Smart, Cutforth 21 v. Phillips, Meredith 30; Cummauo, White 22 v. AlcLean, Hepburn 19. PERSONAL. Air R. S. Rapley, of Alercer, is spending a holiday with his parents, Air and Mrs J. S. Rapley, of Waipukurau. Mr J. AI. Carroll, Clerk of the Court at Waipukurau and Waipawa, is at present on his annual leave. Air B. J. Hitchcock, of Wellington, is relieving.
