Shortening Empire Air Route

TRAIN JOURNEY ELIMINATED (British Official Wireless.) Received Wednesday, 9.50 p.m. RUGBY, Jan. 5. The train journey from Paris to Brindisi which passengers of Imperial Airways on Empire routes have hitherto had to undertake, spending two nights on the train, is gradually being eliminated. The Mediterranean section of the Empire air route is now being operated from Marseilles. The first service out of Marseilles was operated yesterday by the flying boat Castor which left for Brindisi via Lake Bracciano and Rome. To-day she will fly to Alexandria carrying gers and mails for India.
