The Polish Diet voted £15,000,000 for armaments and fortifications. The Foreign Minister, Colonel Beck, reaffirmed Franco-Polish friendship. “Everybody rejoices at each new rifle placed in the hands of our soldiers.” said M. Beck when Parliament approved a £13,000,009 loan from France, of which a small portion will be devoted to paying French creditors, and four-fifths of the balance will be u: M to purchase arms from France and one-fifth used for equipping armament plants in Poland.
