Scout Week

BALL IN P.D.C. JADE TEAROOMS TO-NIGHT. The Manawatu Boy Scouts’ Association are holding a ball in the P.D.C. jade tearooms to-night. The ball, which promises to be one of tho affairs of the year, is to be opened at 8.30 p.m. by tho Mayor. Hammond's Orchestra will provide the music and a good programme of old-time and modern dancing has been arranged. There will be plenty of novelties and prizes are to be given for these. As this is probably tho last big dance for this season it is hoped a large crowd will attend and besides enjoying themselves will assist tho Boy Scouts’ Association to erect its new hall. The charges are as follow: Ladies 2s 6d. gentlemen 3s Cd, double ticket ss.
