The headmaster (Air. E. Eary) reported that the attendances in the last four weeks had been 750, 757, 777 and 755, the present roll being S3O. At the commencement of the term, the Wanganui Education Board had arranged to hire a room at tho Takaro hall to accommodate the overflow from the school. Thero was accommodation at tho school for about 800 pupils, and byusing the small room at at Takaro, 35 additional children could be accommodated. This room should give sufficient space until the end of the term. Under tho recent regulations (basing grading on 95 per cent, of tho averago roll for the first four weeks of-tho third term) the school would be placed in a new grade and would bo staffed on that grade for 1937. At the beginning of the term, Alisses Carty, Dewhirst, Newman and Lane had joined tho staff. Aliss Carty had been placed in charge of tho class at Takaro. Last week visits had been paid to tho school by Miss Valentine (supervisor of special classes) and Dr. E. Gunn and Nurse O’Aleara to medically examine the infants and standard 2.
