Band of Hope

In tlio Anglican schoolroom on Monday night, tho final Band of Hopo meeting for the year was held, Mrs H. Paterson presiding over a large attendance of children.

Mrs Paterson gave tho lesson for the meeting, speaking on animals and danger signals. Mrs Byan sang “Cooee Song” and Miss Boss read a story entitled “The Pedlar.” Items wero given by tho children as follows:—Pianoforte solos, Ivan Merrio and Alan Greaves; songs, Ngairo Williams, Molly Eobinson, Ida Mills, Lorna Pratt, Alison Thompson, Nancy Gunn, Betty Watson, Joan Brabner, Ida Pearcey and Betty Bobinson; recitations, Doreen Bobinson, Nancy Gunn, Alison Thompson, Ngairo Williams, Ida Mills, Ida Pcarcey and George Paget. At the conclusion of tho programme, supper was served.
