Farmer Attacked by Sow
SEYERE INJURIES SUFFFERED TO HANDS AND ARMS
To be attacked suddenly by a sow and suffer severe injuries to hands and arms, was the unfortuante experience of Mr. W. H. H. Foster, of Couper's line, Rongotca, yesterday. Mr. Foster was in an empty sty adjacent ono in which was the sow with a litter of young about a week old. Unexpectedly tho sow entered tho sty iu -which Mr. Foster was and attacked him. Ho was knocked over on his back and, being on his own, had to light off the pig single-handed. This ho managed to do but only after suffering a broken thumb and injuries to both arms, a hand and wrist. After rougthly bandaging the wounds himself, Mr. Foster managed to drive his car into Kongotea from whence he was taken to Bulls for medical attention.
