Very Firm Market At Sydney Wool Sales

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyrlgh t. Received Tuesday, 10.45 p.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 6.

At the -wool sales 11,933 bales wero offered and 10,461 sold, also 1227 privately. There was a- very firm market with all the best features of last week’s auctions again in evidence. There was strong support from Yorkshire and increased Continental competition. Greasy Merino made 21|d. Tho average price for wool last week in Sydney was £l7 4s lid per bale, or 13.1 d. per pound.
