From Our Own Correspondent. Welcome home.
The Colyton Hall was the scene of a merry party on Thursday when tho young friends of Mr anu Mrs Dennis Shortall assembled to welcome them homo after their recent tour of the north. Dancing to the strains of a professional orchestra formed the major portion of the evening’s entertainment and a novel competition of named personalities was won by Miss J. Burr, while Miss N. Hansen and Mr P. Burgess and Miss J. Wealleans and Mr J. Thurston were the winners of the Monte Carlo. Mr John Shortall acted as M.C. The supper tables were attractively decorated in lemon and orange tonings and Airs Dennis Shortall, who presided, wore a smart l'rock of navy and white. Three hearty cheers and the singing of Auld Lang Syne brought a happy evening to a close in the early hours. Those present were Mr and Mrs J. D. Shortall, Mr and Mrs H. V. Benge, Air and Mrs W.
