From Our Own Correspondent. Defence Rifle Club. There was only a small attendance at the practice shoot held last Saturday. Shooting was fired over the 300 and 6UO yards ranges. A front wind which kept changing from loft to right, did not assist tho marksmen, and some very poor returns were the result, only one score of merit being obtained, a 33 by J. Searle, at 600 yards. Details were as follow: J. Searle 27, 33, 60; C. Turner 26, 28, 54; AL Hausman 24, 27, 51; C. Ralph 25, 25, 50; R. A. Jones 23 26, 41); W. G. Romley 21, 20, 41; 600 yards only, R. Romley 28, E, AlcCrao 26. Arrangements for the season’s competitions will be finalised at a meeting on Wednesday evening.
