The first new year sitting of the Pahiatua Magistrate’s Court has been set down for Wednesday, January 29.

The Borough Council will meet on

Monday, January 20, at 7.30 p.m. for its first meeting of the year.

Thursday night’s downpour of rain was responsible for the recording of a rainfall of .33 inches according to Mr A. \V. Hamilton, Pahiatua’s authority on weather matters, who explained this recording occured within six or seven lioufs from the first heavy shower at approximately 0.30 p.m.
