Rongotea

From Our Own Correspondent. Once again the long-awaited time has como round when the members of the First Ranger Company of Girl Guides has joyfully packed its enamel cups an plates with their old “battle-scarred” cutlery and to the tune of a swinging camp song have set out on the great adventure. The site chosen this year is a splendid one situated on Mr Harry Stewart’s property, Te Awa, Kiwitea, on the banks of the river. The swimming pool is therefore delightfully handy. The total number under canvas is at present la, this being made up of Itongotea and Palmerston North Guides and Misses R. and N. Davis (Rongotea), quartet-masters, all being under the excellent supervision of

the Rongotea Guide Captain, Miss L. Davis. The Guides will be pleased to welcome parents and friends -to their holiday camp on Sundays (visiting day). The friends of Miss Molly Slattery will be pleased to learn that site has returned home after spending six weeks in the Palmerston North Public Hospital.

Mrs Smart and .Miss Kettha Smart are visitors to Rongotea, being the guests ot Mrs A. Hurdsfield.
