In the garden of Mr G. R. B. Boswell, Feilding, has been growing a double-headed dahlia flower of the pom-pom variety. Recently a Press message drew attention to a similar froak grown iu Southland. Apparently Foilding can do equally ■as well. The Oroua County Council notify that an additional ten per cent penalty will be added to all rates outstanding after noon on the 25th instant.
Tlio Otago and Southland swimming team which is taking part in the junior and intermediate Dominion chiynpionskips at Hamilton, have accepted an invitation from the Feilding Swimming Club to visit Feilding and participate in a carnival here. The tourists, who number 21, will be in Feilding on Thursday, 30th instant.
