Feilding Bowling Club

DIXON CUP CONTEST,

On Saturday afternoon the Feilding Bowling Club successfully defended a challenge from the Palmerston North Bowling Club for the Dixon Cup, winning the match by 23 —13. Weather conditions were ideal for bowling, the absence of a burning sun making play particularly pleasant. The result of the contest w r as never much in doubt, the Feilding rink proving too skilful for the Palmerston men. Pour other rinks journeyed from Palmerston to Feilding and participated in several friendly games, the visitors winning two and drawing one. During the afternoon the visitors were entertained at afternoon tea. Details of the games are as follows, the Feilding rinks being mentioned first: — Dpcon Cup Contest.
