Changeable and Squally Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A series of westerly depressions extends from southern Australia across tho south Tasman Sea and New Zealand, while an anti-cyclone covers tho north Tasman. Winds: Moderate to strong northwesterly still of galo force at places in and south of Cook Strait, backing temporarily in parts to south-westerly. Seas (New Zealand waters): Moderate north of East Cape, elsewhere rather rough to rough. Eastern Tasman Sea: Winds between north-west and south-west prevailing, moderate in the northern portion with moderate seas, strong in the southern portion with rough seas. Weather: Changeable and squally with rain at times in most districts, but only light and scattered east of the main ranges.

Temperatures becoming cooler.
