| From Our Ovvu Correspondent. Tho home of Mr and Mrs J. Hearsey was tho scene of a jolly party last week to celebrate tho birthday of Mr J. Hearsey juiir. The evening was spent in dancing and games and competitions which were won by Miss M. Rowland and Mr 8. Richardson. After supper had been partaken of, Mr B.' Rowland proposed the health of the guest ot honour Who Was accorded musical honours. Mr J. Mearsey juiir. replied and then cut the birthday cake which was handed round to the guests. Mr Rowland, on behalf of those present, tnapked the host ainThostess for their hospitality. Those present were Misses Li. Hearsey, P, Johnston, M. Weddell, M. Rowland, 'J. Money, J. Hearsey, W. Johnston, S. and R. Rowland, W. Weddell, I. Parkinson, S. Richardson,- F. Hearsey, A Barber and A. Morley. The evening concluded after midnight with the singing of Auld Lang Syne. Mr IT. Bowler is spending a holiday at Wellington. Mrs Ennis, who has been staying with Miss P. Johnston, Karere, has returned to her home in Palmerston North.. .
