ABUSES POSITION OF TRUST. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 19. For the theft of shoes and tooth brushes from a vessel on which he had been employed as watchman while in port, Fo'berfc Craig Boyd Taylor, aged 21, seaman, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment by Mr Mosley, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. The police stated that accused admitted having broached cargo on the Rangitane at Auckland. “I cannot possibly overlook an offence of this nature where a man is placed in a position of trust and deliberately abuses it and encourages others to abuse it too,” said the Magistrate.
