From Our Own Correspondent. The following are (ho scores registered at the weekly' practice shoot of the Miniature Rifle Club held last Monday evening; AV. Eising 99, 98, 197; J. Day 9S, 98, 196. Jlr. and Airs. F. AV. Groves, who are leaving the district next week to settle on a farm at Owhnngo, near Taumaru nui, were entertained on Wednesday evening by' their frieds at a concert and dance in the hall. A delightful programme was provided by vocalists, the majority of whom, in spite of a biting southerly', had journeyed out from I'nhiatua to assist, and the committee deeply appreciates their generosity. Songs, which were warmly encored in eacli case, were contributed by the following:—Mesdames H. Ogg and F. C. Ebbett, and Messrs. Greaves and Madson. Duets accompanied by steel guitar and ukulele were given by' th • AVilton brothers. A bracket of two glees was contributed by the glee circle. Airs. IJ. Ogg and Alisses Madson and Day acted as aecompaists. Air. G. I-loggard presided and at the conclusion of tho concert asked the guests of the evening to accept with the best wishes of local residents, small tokens of appreciation of their helpfulness in the district during their residence here. Theso were a travelling rug and a handbag. Supper was served and the rest of the evening was spent in dancing, music for this being supplied by local players assisted by the AVilton brothers. Airs. Callender is on a visit to Air. and Airs. AV. G. Callender. Air. J. Corkill, who has been receivingtreatment in Pahiatua hospital for injury received on the football field is now able to move about again and has left that Institution.

Air. C. Dinalian has also made a good recovery from a head injury received m last Saturday’s match.
