From Our Own Correspondent. All-8, and All-. B. AL Fla vail, of Utuwai. aro on a touring holiday of New Plymouth, Rotorua and Hamiton. The W.I. members met on Wednesday afternoon for tho Juno meeting, Airs. Flavail presiding over a good attendance. A representative of tho Singer Sewing Machine Company gave an interesting demonstration showing tho different uses of the various detachments of a sewing machine. Alesdames Pettigrew and Nesdale were hostesses for the day. The competition in both sections was something new from something old. and drew some good entries. In the senior division Mrs. Eriglit annexed the first points prize with Airs. Henunings second. Aliss D. Chevne won the junior points, with Aliss J. Scarlc second. The roll call for
a winter pudding evoked some good responses. A gift parcel was made up and addressed to a good cause. The July programme will comprise a demonstration on the uses of waste silk stockings given by Miss J. Seurle. The seniors will compete for the best home-made soap, and the juniors for plain scones. A bring and buy stall will bo conducted.
