L. - ■ - From Our Own Correspondent. Rifle Shooting. There was a good attendance at the weekly shoot, but scoring was not up to the usual standard. The results were:— E. Simpson 70, til)—130; G. AViggins 67, 70 —137; P. Ellery 67, 70—137; F. Simpson 67, 69—136; H. Ellery 67, 67—134; J. Ellery G 7, 67—134; S. Quinlan 67, 67—134; J. Simpson 66, OS —134; C. Coekburn 65, OS--133; J. Coekburn 65, 65—133; G. Murray 65, 67—132; M, Klatt 65, G 6—131; D. Ellery G 3, 67—130. The social and dance organised by flic Ladies’ Hockey Club was very well attended on Tuesday night. Music was supplied by a professional orchestra and extras were contributed by Mrs H. Redpath and Mr E. Bramwell. Monte Carlo rwaltzes wee won by Miss A r . Coekburn and M. Robinson and Misses P. Ca-sstick and M. Frecklington. Cards were played by tlie, non-dancers those winning most games being Ms Bailey (Hawera) and Mr C. Coekburn. Runners-up wero Mrs if. Redpath and Mr AV. Knox. Messrs J. Coekburn and J. Taylor carried out the duties of M.’sC. Mrs Bailey of Hawera is spending a few days with her daughter Mrs L. Koberstcin.
