Third Aerial Exploration Flight

INVESTIGATIONS IN ANTARCTICA United Press Association.—By electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 7.33 p.m. LITTLE AMERICA, Nov. 20. Returning from his third aerial exploration, Harold June reported that he had discovered an elevated land mass running indciinitcly to the east and south of Edscl Ford range and meeting the lofty roof of Marie Byrd Land. In addition to substantially extending the discoveries of his two previous flights,. June’s findings also broaden the American claims to this area.

Rear-Admiral Byrd believes that the land found establishes a link between the Andes mountains of .South America and the mountains of West Antarctica. The observations taken also further substantiate Byrd’s theory that Antarctica is two continents, divided by a water passage.
