New Robot Pilot

A GERMAN INVENTION. LONDON, Nov. IS. The Daily Dispatch, Manchester, says that a German inventor has produced a new robot pilot witli a mechanical brain, enabling an aeroplane to rise to the required height and fly to the required course and speed, irrespective of the human pilot who takes off in the machine and then sits back. The. robot pilot is also equipped with several wireless systems, two of which assist in landing. One shows on the dashboard a miniature beacon corresponding to the centre of the aerodrome, which moves across the dial. If the aeroplane deviates the other sounds a note which varies if the aeroplane is off its course. These unprecedented combinations make the finest fog beater in the history of aviation. The British Air Ministry and the Imperial Airways experts, who have flown in the aeroplane, are greatly impressed.
