Four Men Burned To Death in Air Crash
SEQUEL TO REFUELLING FLIGHT

Returning from Portsmouth after refuelling Sir Alan Cobham’s aeroplane, another aeroplane, Youth of Now Zealand, piloted by C. H. Bembridgc, an ex-member of the Air Force, who is attached to Sir Alan Cobham’s circus, accompanied by three mechanics, crashed in flames in Buckinghamshire. The four occupants wore burned to death. Sir Alan Cobham left Portsmouth at 6.32 on his 5200-mile non-stop flight to Karachi, and refuelled from an air liner 20 miles out to sea, uncoupling eight minutes later.
