BERLIN TO BLAME FOR NONPAYMENT OF DEBTS.
United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph —Copyright. LONDON, Sept, 21. The German Government is deliberately preventing German traders who are willing and able to pay their debts to Britain, amounting to £4,000,000,” says the Federation of British Industries in a letter to Mr. Rubciman, president of the Board of Trade, urging on Sir Leith Ross a Arm attitude. The £4,000,000 debt mentioned was incurred in the first half of 1934 and was due to the German Government’s arbitrary policy of reducing exchange and quota permits without notice.
