• Received Thursday, 11 p.m. MELBOURNE, Sept. 20. At tlie annual meeting of tho Cricket Board of Control to-day, Mr. K, A. Oxlade was rc-elected chairman and Mr. W. C. Bull treasurer. Dr. Ramsay Mailer announced his retirement from the board after 24 years’ membership. The board intimated that it was unable to comply with to send cither an Australian or a Sheffield team to New Zealand.

REPORTED THAT HE IS .’JOINING AN ENGLISH TEAM.

Reports arc current ia cricket circles in Nottingham that Sir Julicn Cahn has engaged Grinunett to join liis team in 1935. Negotiations have not yet received the stage of signing a contract.
