Saturday's Rugby

For the football public of Palmerston North ami surrounding district is provided a very excellent programme for to-morrow. The senior game on Ihe Oval at 3 jj.m. will be Feilding Old Boys and fcnited. The former, owing to their change in colours to black and white, are now recognised as the magpies’ and as everyone knows they are a fast and attractive fifteen with their forwards and backs throwing the ball round in true Rugby style. United are also a team who can turn on good football and this week wit give the magpies something to remember them by. On No. 2 ground at 3 p.m. another game worth witnessing will bo the meeting of the Ml. Pat’s and Old Boys seniors. The green boys will be fielding a very strong side this week; in fact, it will be the same as when they lowered the colours of Fcilding Old Boys. The curtain-raiser on the Oval at L3O will bo supplied by the High Mchool ami St. Pat’s juniors. The other senior fixture set down for this week is Kin Ton and Massey College and this will be payed on the Park road ground tit 2.45 p.m. Both teams will field great packs of forwards and their backs are not to be despised. A gate will be charged at Park road this week.

The other matches set down for tho Showgrounds will bo Linton and Ivia Toa juniors on No. 2 at 1.30, while at the same time on No. 3 Bunnythorpc and St. Pat’s thirds will try conclusions, to be followed on the same ground at 3 p.nt. by the Fcilding and Kelvin Springboks juniors. At Johnston park, Fcilding, an interesting match will lie the meeting of the Fcilding and Woodvillc seniors at 3 p.m. These two teams tiro very evenly matched. Old Boys.
