The cooking centre in Christchurch for unemployed woman is busily coping with the distress prevalent. The total number of names on tho list is 153, and during last week eight were placed in positions. In the centre 311 moals had been served, and tho wages and. purchases bill totalled £2O 16s 9d. A sub-committeo was set up to arrange for a complete set of books to be kept to show all the monetary transactions of the committee.
