IMPORTANT SCHEME TO BE INVESTIGATED Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. An important, scheme for the iirigation ol'" 40,000 acres of tho Waimate county .is to bo investigated by the Public Works Department at the request of the Minister (Rt. Hon. J. GCoates). The district Public Works engineers at Dunedin (Mr. T. M. Ball) and at Christchurch (Mr. F. Langbein) are to inspect tho area and report on the scheme within the next few days.
