A letter, covering tho programme for the annual sports mooting, to be held next month, was received from the Oroua Downs Club.

The secretary reported that ho had issued tho accessary permit. The programme was considered and it was decided to write the club, suggesting that it was charging an excessive entrance fee for the maiden event.

In connection with the Wanganui Sub-centre’s fixture, the secretary stated that he had forwarded tho entries from tho Manawatu clubs. —It was decided to engage a lorry to transport competitors and officials to the fixture.

Mr. Aisher wrote thanking the centre for the honour it had done him in electing him the first life member. —The chairman commented that Mr. Aishcr’s presence at the meeting indicated that he intended to maintain his interest in sport, which was very pleasing.

The West Coast (North Island) Centre forwarded a copy of the agreement between the New Zealand Union of Cyclists and the Amateur Athletic Association. A request was also mado for a list of the clubs, with their officers, attached to the sub-centre.—-The secretary was instructed to forward tho information, and the clubs’ colours for registration. Messrs. Fyson and Whitehead, of Ilawera, wore appointed to represent Manawatu on tho centre. A subcommittee consisting of Messrs. Couch, Dixon and Turnbull, with power to add, was set up to consider tho draft rule governing the cycling branch. A permit was granted the Bunnythorpe Club to hold a meeting on March 5, the club being congratulated on the sporting spirit displayed in postponing the fixture so as to' avoid a clash with the Bulls-Ohakca Club. The Sandon, Kumeroa-Hopelands and Papatawa Clubs were also granted permits to hold fixtures. A discussion ensued regarding the amount owing to the Wellington Centre, and in tho absence of definite information on tho point it was decided to write again, requesting tho furnishing of a financial statement.
