BOWLS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) An inter-club match between Woodville and Danncvirke was played on the local green on Wednesday last, Woodville winning on the aggregate by 109 to 97. Danncvirke: Barker, S. Smith, McKinnon, Gilbert (s) 28. Woodville: McLachlan, J. Morgan, Elder, Nicholas (s) 18 v. Danncvirke: Martin, Woods, Howarth, Calder (s) 22. Woodville: South, Cotter, Skinner, Horne (s) 28 v. Dannevirke: Weavers, Brighton, Osborne, Greenwood (s) 14. Woodville: Offwood, Tcnnent, Funke, Bly (s) 18 v. A challenge match was also pdayed for the Oxley cup, the challengers (Eketahuna) being successful in lifting the trophy by the narrow margin of two points.
