Colyton Hockey Club’s Annual Ball
Eestoons of green and white with a multitude of coloured lights made a brilliant setting for the Colyton Combined Hockey Clubs' annual ball which took place on Wednesday night. The function was one of the most successful ever hold, and all who participated will give credit to tho organisers of a most delightful and gorgeous event. Tho decorations were of outstanding merit. Tho club’s colours of green and white predominated, and tho paper streamers were cut into fringo and interwoven with, lycopodium, while other native foliage formed the background and coloured electric light bulbs gleamed from among the decorations. The stage was transformed with greenery and floral arches and here the orchestra was placed. Tho supper room was also beautifully arranged and golden spring bulbs decorated the tables. Excellent music was dispensed by the “Blue Revellers” ladies' orchestra from Wanganui, with extras by Messrs. J. Pearco and Darragh brothers (3), of loilding.
