The Governor-General Entertained
His Excellency tho Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, accompanied by his aide-de-camp, Sir John Han.bam, was tlio guest of tho Manawatu Racing Club at Awapuni on Saturday. On his arrival at the course, His Excellency was received by the president of the Racing Club, Mr C. Louisson, who extended a welcome on behalf of the club. The Gove": jT-General was entertained by the steward’s at an informal iu ncheon. His Excellency was much interested in racing and also in the working of tho total'isator being taken through the building by Mr Louisson.
