ONIONS ATJ GRATIN Four cooked onions, half-pint of white sauce, 3oz. of grated cheese, loz. of butter, brown breadcrumbs. Cat the onions into thick slices, grease a fireproof dish, and put in first a layer of onions, thon a layor of cheese, cover with well-sea-soned white sauce. Continue these layers till the dish is full, covering all with the sauce; sprinkle with browned breadcrumbs, put the butter in small pieces over the top, and bake in a moderate oven until nicely browned. Serve at once in . the dish in which they aro cooked.
