Miss Dorothy Broad, Who has been spending a holiday with Mr and Mrs. C. V. Newton Broad, Feilding, left on Thursday for hor home in Greymouth.
Miss E. V. Horton has boon appointed assistant at the Dunncvirko .North school and Miss A. M. Benson, assistant, at Danncvirko South school. Miss G. H. Rathie will be relieving at Dannevirke North school.
Miss M. Smith, of the teaching staff of Hokowhitu school, was met yesterday by staff and pupils and presented with gifts in view of her approaching marriage. The gift of the children was a case of fish knives, forks and scewers, while from the committee and staff, she received a pyrex dish in a silver stand.
A bridge party was given on Wednesday evening by Mr. and Mr§. Carter “Roschill” Feilding. Those present included Mr. and Mrs. Mason, Mr. and Mrs. Kellow, Mr. and Mrs. Fawcett, Mrs. Tingey, Mr. and Mrs. Pearsou, Mr. and Mrs. Brewer, Mr. and Mrs. St. Paul. The prizes were won by Mrs, Brewer and Mr. amd Mrs. Fawcett.
