SHIP ENCOUNTERS HEAVY WEATHER

RETURNS TO PORT. Per Pres 3 Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. The steamer Golden Cross, which sailed for Honolulu at 4.30 this afternoon, returned to port at 10.25 to-night. The reason given was that the vessel encountered a heavy sea and thick weather, with consequent difficulty in picking up the harbour lights.
