TO-DAY'S RECIPE
ALMOND CAKE. Beat 4oz. each butter and sugar to a cream; add gradually four well-beaten eggs, then lOoz. self-raising flour one teaspoon almond extract and 4oz. ground almonds. Four into a buttered tin, and place in a moderate oven for an hour and a-half. When cold cover with icing and decorate with chopped almonds.
